The short version. Nimu Cam collects nothing about you. It has no accounts, no analytics and no servers of its own, and it works in airplane mode. Your photographs stay on your phone unless you share them yourself.
1. What the app stores
Photographs you take or develop are written to your own Photos library, as new pictures. The app keeps no separate copy and no library of its own. Two small settings live on the device: whether you have bought Nimu Pro, and the filter you used last. Neither leaves the phone.
2. What the app sends
Nothing, with one exception that is not really ours: if you buy Nimu Pro, the purchase goes through Apple's App Store. We never see your name, your email or your payment details. Apple tells the app only whether the purchase exists.
All image processing, including every filter, runs on the phone's own chip. That is why the app works with no signal at all.
3. Permissions, and why
- Camera. Required to take a photograph. Without it the Darkroom still works.
- Adding to Photos. Asked the first time you save. This is permission to add pictures, not to read your library.
- Choosing a photo. When you open the Darkroom, iOS shows its own picker. The app receives only the picture you choose, and never gains access to the rest.
4. What the app does not do
- No account, no sign in, no email address collected.
- No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers.
- No third party software development kits of any kind.
- No location data attached by the app.
Photographs carry whatever EXIF their camera wrote, which can include the place they were taken. Nimu Cam preserves that data rather than adding to it, and when you share a picture, that is between you, the app you share it with, and iOS.
5. Children
The app is safe for any age and gathers nothing, from anyone. There is no chat, no social feature and no way for one user to reach another.
6. This website
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The filter demo on the home page runs entirely in your browser: if you drop a photograph into it, that picture is read by your own device, filtered on it, and never uploaded or stored anywhere.
If you use the contact form, the message and the address you type are sent by email to us so that we can reply. We keep those messages only as long as it takes to answer you, and we never add them to any list.
The site is hosted by a standard web host, which keeps its own server logs, including IP addresses, as every web server does. We do not use those logs for anything.
7. Your rights
Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to export or delete. If you have written to us and want that message deleted, ask and it will be.
8. Changes
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top changes with it. A version that collected data would be a different app, and it would say so plainly.
